The School of Business Wins First Place in the 23rd Sports Meeting of Jiangnan University

The 23rd Sports Meeting of Jiangnan University was grandly held at the Sports Center from April 12th to 13th. At the opening ceremony, the school commended the advanced units and individuals in student mass sports work for the year 2023. The School of Business achieved excellent results by securing the second place in the annual university faculty group score, being named as the advanced unit in student mass sports work at Jiangnan University for the year 2023. The representative team of the School of Business performed exceptionally well in various competition events, with faculty and staff winning 4 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze medals, achieving a historic best score of 164 points and ranking third in the faculty and staff group total score. The student group, with a total score of 317.5 points, won first place in the student group total score, with the women's group winning first place and the men's group winning second place. They also secured the highest number of medals with 8 gold, 5 silver, and 13 bronze, earning accolades such as the Sports Ethics Award and the Highest Appearance Value Formation.

In order to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's education philosophy of prioritizing health and the health-first strategic orientation proposed in the report of 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China , to promote faculty and students' conscious participation in physical exercise, to mobilize them to "get moving, running, and jumping," and to jointly build and share a healthy campus, the school aims to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party and promote the implementation of the school's advancement plan, thus promoting the healthy and vigorous development of all school undertakings. The School has been continuously strengthening its efforts in cultivating the spirit of sports, hosting 21 consecutive annual college-level sports meetings, winning the title of "Advanced Unit in Sports Work" for consecutive years, winning the "He Zhenliang Cup" of Jiangnan University three times, and hosting important events such as the "President's Cup" student men's football matches.
