Wuxi Energy Conservation and Circular Economy Research Center

Wuxi Energy Conservation and Circular Economy Research Center is an interdisciplinary key research institution jointly established by Wuxi Economic and Information Commission and Jiangnan University. It was officially established in December 2007.

The research center currently has 11 researchers, including 3 professors and 7 associate professors, with 9 individuals holding doctoral degrees, forming a well-structured research team.

The center has been expanding the scope of research and consulting services in energy conservation and circular economy, carrying out strategic consulting on energy conservation and circular economy development for enterprises, energy management training, energy conservation promotion, and actively engaging in scientific research and academic exchanges in the field of energy conservation and circular economy. It has developed expertise in green economy and sustainable development, energy economics and management. The center has published over 100 academic papers in prestigious journals such as "Japanese Economic Review," "Nonlinear Analysis," "Quantitative Economics and Technical Economics Research,"; six academic monographs, including "Sustainable Development and Environmental Preservation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" and "Quantitative Analysis of Japanese-Chinese Economic Development," and completed over 20 research reports. The center has undertaken over 30 national, provincial, international cooperation, and municipal-level research projects.

The mission of the research center is to focus on energy and environmental issues, provide scientific basis and consulting recommendations for relevant departments in formulating strategies, plans, and policies for energy conservation and circular economy development, provide energy conservation and sustainable development consulting services to enterprises, organize academic activities in the field of energy conservation and circular economy research, create opportunities and an environment for academic exchanges and research cooperation in this field, and build Wuxi and China's think tank for green economy and sustainable development.
