The School of Business at Jiangnan University Hosted Pre-Competition Teaching Observation Event for Fifth Jiangsu Province Young Teachers' Teaching Competition Participants

On the afternoon of March 29th, in Room 113 of the School of Business, the pre-competition teaching observation event for participants in the fifth Jiangsu Province Young Teachers' Teaching Competition Selection Competition at Jiangnan University was held. Four participating teachers, Li Qianwen, Zhou Yining, Meng Fanbo, and Wei Yunyan, respectively gave lectures according to the requirements of the university teaching competition. Professors Xie Yumei and Zhu Jinwei provided on-site guidance and comments, and more than 20 young teachers from the Business School participated in the observation event.

Professors Xie Yumei and Zhu Jinwei gave high evaluations to the participating teachers. They provided detailed comments and guidance to each participating teacher on teaching objectives and design, case selection and on-site experiments, blackboard writing and PowerPoint production, demeanor and body language usage, expression methods and communication skills, eye contact and interaction with students, and how to guide students' thinking and summarization. The young teachers present benefited greatly from this.

The hosting of this observation event not only reflects the importance attached by the Business School to the upcoming fifth Jiangsu Province Young Teachers' Teaching Competition Selection Competition but also provides valuable learning opportunities for young teachers to improve their teaching skills, which will effectively help young teachers grow rapidly.
